About

My Story -

Thanksgiving Day 2021 forever changed my life in a way I could never have imagined. I survived a SCAD heart attack—an event that shattered my world and left me in complete disbelief. Just a healthy, vibrant 46-year-old, full of life and strength. How could I, of all people, have a heart attack? The shock was overwhelming, a stark reminder of how fragile and unpredictable life truly is.

Through countless doctor appointments and relentless research, Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD) is a silent, misunderstood force. It’s the leading cause of heart attacks in women under 50, pregnant women, and new mothers—a devastating reality for too many. Most affected are young, healthy women who seem to have no risk factors at all. Though rarer, men are not immune. Since SCAD is little known and poorly understood, education about SCAD is one of the first steps.

This experience has ignited an unbreakable fire within me. I am determined to do everything I can to fight back—especially by supporting SCAD research with every ounce of my being. That’s why 25% of every hand-poured candle I create will go directly toward the search for answers.

My collections will only be available six times each year—Spring, Summer, Fall, Holiday, Winter—because I want each one to be special, intentional, and impactful. My hope is to sell out of each one, making room for new beginnings with every season. And within one of these collections, I will hold a special customer drawing—where 25% of the profits will go directly to a cause of the winner’s choosing—be it St. Jude’s, breast cancer research, animal rescue, or any heartfelt mission.
